AV specialist in Germany, Thies Bürotechnik GmbH & Co. KG., turned
pale presentations into great visual experiences at Kip’s German
headquarters.

Based in Germany, Kip GmbH is a leading producer of adhesive
tapes for the construction industry. Recently the company refurbished
their conference and training rooms, which are not only used daily
for important internal meetings, they are also hired out to external
partners. As part of the refurbishment process, they wanted to make
sure their presentation possibilities were top notch.

Refurbishment opened clients eyes
Once the renovation was complete, it quickly became clear to Kip that
they would need to renovate the AV solution as well, as the white wall
on it’s own could not be used to project images well enough

.
“The problem was that the high ambient light level was washing out
the image,” says Tim Birkner of Thies Bürotechnik. “It was important
to Kip to a have very spacious feeling and lots of natural light in the
rooms. This always presents a challenge when it comes to projection
on a white surface. And in this case room darkening was not an
option, because Kip didn’t want their employees and partners to have
to sit in the dark for presentations.”

High contrast makes all the difference
Kip wanted to make the best use of their Epson video and presentation
projectors. “The only thing missing was a high-contrast projection
screen that could deal with the ambient light and deliver bright and
sharp presentations even in bright daylight,” says Birkner. “The dnp
Supernova Blade was the most cost-effective way to do that.”

Super-easy installation
The installation includes three Supernova Blade Screens – one in each
half of the room and an additional screen in another training room.
“The Supernova is incredibly easy to install. I rarely do installations
easier than the Supernova, and the clients are always so pleased with
the results,” says Birkner.

Wilhelm Giessing, IT Manager of KIP Holding, adds, “The dnp
Supernova Blade, along with the installation support from Thies
Bürotechnik was exactly what we needed to rejuvenate our conference
rooms. We only hear rave reviews about the clarity and readability
of our presentations, despite the natural light in the room, which
everyone also enjoys. We could not have chosen a better solution or
installer for this project – and it was a success.”

Creating interest, boosting sales
Wilma Bakkenhoven (Assistant Store Manager, C&A) comments on how the new system has increased sales: “Ever since the system has been running behind the checkout, customers have been asking about the collections being shown on screen. They often go back into the store to pick up an extra item. They might have already seen it in the store, but they have been attracted by our videos of models wearing the clothes.”

Originally targeted at meeting rooms, the dnp LaserPanels are showing off their versatility in this POS application at C&A, with vivid images that have real customer appeal.
